A New MHS

As the conceptual design phase comes to a close and the deadline for final changes approaches, the Medford School Committee must provide guidance to the building committee about spaces in the new building. Soon after my election to the Medford School Committee we learned that Medford had been accepted into the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) pipeline to support the creation of a new high school to update or replace the current building, which was established in 1970 and opened in 1971. This was at least the third time that Medford had applied for the program, so the district was quite excited to move on from application to planning. You can learn more about that
